How to Choose a Qualified Plastic Surgeon in Ecuador:
In Ecuador, all of us do graduate as surgeons, which
authorizes us to exercise any branch of the medicine from
taking out a fingernail to opening a thorax. But let’s be
sincere; we all know that when we leave our university
classrooms we have theoretical knowledge of what surgery is
but many have never even taken out an appendix. When new
graduates, at most, will have taken out ten fingernails and
put in about fifty stitches not well given, then would you put
your health, your body and your beauty in a such a person's
hands that only has theoretical knowledge of some specialty?
Plastic surgery, as many other branches of surgery, requires a
time for formation. It is not possible that a person who has
attended two or three chats of plastic surgery or congresses
enters to do a liposuction. Regrettably we are full of pirates
who call themselves aesthetic surgeons. I’d like to know what
university of the world grants them this title. It is that the
specialization of aesthetic surgeon doesn't exist; aesthetic
surgery is only one of the fields of the specialty of plastic
and reconstructive surgery.
Therefore distrust anyone who only calls himself an call
aesthetic surgeon. You as a patient are entitled to the entire
duty and right to request that such a surgeon show you his
credential as a qualified plastic surgeon. I suggest that you
do this as a way to avoid unnecessary future complications.
The best way to obtain good results is to put yourself in a
professional's hands, with one who has his papers in order and
is serious and honest. You can appeal to the Ecuadorian
Society of Plastic Surgery for information they have on most
of the Ecuadorian specialists in plastic surgery who have
become worthy of being part of said organization because of
their merits, education, knowledge, experience, and ethics.
Doctors who are members of this body also modernize their
knowledge through congresses, courses, and the study of
scientific publications.
